ABOUT THE PASHMINA ATELIER
The Asma Bandey Pashmina Atelier was founded in 2015 to answer the call for more slow fashion and to enable sustainable consumption in the luxury accessory market. This also enables us to preserve the unique skill of Pashmina making of Kashmir, by bringing it to an international market place.
Our passion is to provide collectors with handmade, true Pashminas and to help our clients live the ethos of ‘buy well, buy for life.’ The soul of our brand is in preserving this Art form, dating back to the 15th Century. We present it to you in a modern aesthetic to show fashion-forward women of today how an ancient art form can fit comfortably along-side your contemporary style.
The name ‘Pashmina’ is from Kashmir, made entirely of the original Cashmere wool. Real Pashmina wool is sourced in the Himalayas and real Pashmina shawls are handmade by craftsmen who spend many months, sometimes years, weaving & embroidering each individual piece.
Our mission is to bring you the original Pashmina in its naturally handmade form and to sustain its artistic legacy.
